About the Book

Companies such as Google Inc. are said to offer one of the best security system for emails and browsing. However what most people do not realise is that information given to Google permits them to store it and sanction the information to be sold to other companies. This permits other companies to access personal information such as the address of where that consumer lives. The consumers become a target for the marketers, due to their promotional techniques. A STEEPLE analysis has been used throughout the essay in order to help explain whether “Google can still be viewed as a viable and ethical business while it continues to breach its privacy laws?”. The STEEPLE analysis helps demonstrates how oblivious consumers are to Google; also their customer relationship isn’t taken into account. To concisely summarise these findings, it was shown that Google is a company that is very deceptive and what the consumer says about Google juxtaposes what Google says about its users.
