Rural America is dying. Old barns, falling timbers and rusty roofs of farm houses speak as fast cars drive by pressing on, to somewhere. This is a collection of poems Lori Davis has written over the years that captures the beauty of rural living and it tells her journey, of a corporate woman who over the years was finally called back home. That home was a farm.

Lori Davis has been a writer all her life. She grew up in rural Oregon on a small hobby farm. Those years on horseback with wide open spaces to range, shaped her psyche and filled her soul. After a long career in the tech sector, Lori retired and began farming again and writing poetry about the beauty she sees in rural America and on farms specifically. Lori writes for magazines and blogs on topics spanning rural America, back to basics, homesteading and the millennial foodie/farm movement.
