About the Book

Cooking Drunk contains recipes that utilize wine or other forms of alcohol. Do remember that alcohol dissipates during the cooking process, but retains valued flavors. So, please join me as I use various types of wines in specific recipes and learn how you can also blend your ingredients by threading wine in and around them.

Welcome to my kitchen at Steele’s Vineyard in Charles City, Virginia on the banks of the Chickahominy River. Cooking Drunk includes personal recipes from Oregon, Ohio, Virginia, California, the South, France, Spain, and Italy. Each recipe is very special new insights from friends and family. They show the best learning basics from my mother’s kitchen. I pursue a connection between warmth, richness, friends sharing meals together and a hunger satisfied.

I have been writing this cookbook for over ten years in between my life changes. Pressured by several friends to get on with it, 2009 is my year.
