Hi! My name is Donna and my little puppy Maltese is Jake. We are preparing for an adventure to see what life is like on the “other side”….the Retirement Side. To live out of an RV for four months in different RV parks, different states, meeting different types of people. My parents have finally retired and now have a 1997 Sportsmen Fifthwheel that they bought brand new, well, back in 1997. They have very recently sold their lakeview home in Northwood, New Hampshire, and are planning on getting a new Fifthwheel to set sail as snowbirds in December and I made them promise me not to leave Jake and I behind. Let me introduce myself, I’m from New Hampshire and I work in the summer months in the fast lane (literally) and come winter I take life in a little slower direction and mosey on over to the slow path thru my winter season. I am an internet fanatic, a Good Sam Club member and a Jimmy Buffett fan. My puppy, Jake, is 6 years old and yes, at 7 pounds I still call him a puppy :) This blog is set up to tell you what I’m up to and where I’ve off to throughout my 2008/2009 RV trip. I’ve done this big of a trip back in 2004/2005 which contained 22 states and Mexico, 13,500 miles, in four and a half months. I fell in love with the RVing lifestyle, returned to NH in the spring, went back to work and increased my 401K percentage contribution because THIS is what I want my retirement to include, the freedom of living on the road in an RV. Now, the difference between this trip and our other trips is that we are going to put this one all in writing this time and take YOU along with US! Sit back with your hot cocoa thru the winter months and enjoy the scenery because on this trip…..I’m Driving!! *smile*
