Family favorites through the years.. my children, now grown, and grandchildren in the process of "growing up" have wanted me to write down the dishes they enjoyed. At times, I thought they ate without taste-buds- always in a hurry, and often eating as though it was a 'chore'. I guess it was an ok experience for them after all! As a retiree (sort-of) I am cooking for two (sometimes!) and produce enough for 10! I'm learning to not 'chase the past' and remember to cook for the present- only us two- unless we have guests!
These are 'down-home recipes, with little thought of carbs and fats. There are great substitutes, now, I'm told. Go for it!
