Jaylah Cossin was born 3 weeks after the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001 in American history. She has heard many touching stories, but after hearing this one and meeting her (Shay) she knew she was going to write her first book on her. Jaylah grew up in Grove City, Ohio, as the 6th child of seven. She writes poetry, plays soccer and basketball, loves to dance and does gymnastics.
