About the Book

A slave from Poland named William Borkowski has been tortured for many years. He and his family have worked for many years and have not gotten closer to freedom. Then they heard about a steam boat that would be coming to their land soon. Any escaped slave would be welcomed aboard to sail to America. William gathers his family and they make a run for the boat. When they board they know they are getting much closer to freedom. However many dangers await them on the journey to America. They must also try and not get sick or they will not be allowed in America. William and his family must face these challenges in order to be free forever. The land of opportunity isn't far away.

I have always enjoyed making stories ever since I told a scary story to my cousins. For a while I made stories using Microsoft Word on the computer. I seemed to do ok with it. Then I made stories with pictures using Power Point. I did ok with that to. Then an author told me about bookemon. A place where writers can make their own books and publish them. I am very good at Horror stories, ok at action, never tried romance, and very good at suspence. Drama I have mixed with every story. I don't call myself the best author in the world. But I do say I do a good job trying to make stories. At least give me credit on this. How many 15-17 year olds do you see making books today?
