Max Roberts, pictured here getting a feel for what life in the field would
be like, was born in Orlando, Florida on November 5, 1999. From a very
young age, he would get up in the morning and go jump in bed with his
mom and dad with a whole handful of books in his arms. Many of these
books were animal books and with his dad just barely able to focus
and keep his eyes open, Max would sit there in bed and point out all
the animals and name them one by one while telling what he knew
about them and talking about them with his parents.

At the tender age of only a few years old Max was creating book after
book on many subjects. He has hundreds of them filling the drawers
of his dressers at home. This is his second book that has been done
entirely on the computer rather than by hand. Assisted by his father,
Max designed and wrote this entire book from his knowledge of the
various animals contained inside. Max is also the photographer and
illustrator of the book and all the photos contained within the book are
his own photos.

Max’s goal one day is to be a photo journalist, illustrator, writer,
zoo designer, and animal conservationist. He hopes to own a boat and
explore the world in depth one day. Max is continually interested in
learning more about the world and the animal life in it from his backyard
to wherever his adventures take him.
