About the Book

a collection of archival blog material from the Myspace.com profile…wanting to chronicle these notes in hardcopy form, before they are lost forever in the vast digital wasteland that is the World Wide Web…may be used as a devotional or meditation manual, for meeting topics, or a coffee table book…on the social-networking profiles created, the habit is discussing these topics…always keeping an open format for those wanting to contribute…’Half Measures Room’ was designed as a collaborative effort among like-minded individuals compelled to share experience, strength, and hope about sobriety from drugs and alcohol

I noticed a lot of ‘sober profiles’ popping up on social networks...this encouraged me to create a mock profile, sharing anonymously over the web...it was my idea all along to create a meeting in print on my blog page, where the friends I have made on the social network could comment and offer feedback, or their own personal experiences with the topics...creative writing has always been a passion of mine...after getting sober, I found I had lost the creativity of coming up with fictional stories to write about...i had been told that the best author’s write about what they know...I have found that blogging about sobriety is much more rewarding, and I will never run out of things to say about what has changed, saved and enriched my life.
