This book is the story of how I spent my time during a ten-week break from my job to test the waters of retirement. I share what I learned from it. I know most people don't have the privilege of trying out retirement like I did, but my hope is that you can learn something about your own retirement by reading my account.

Patrick Mathias lives in Grand Rapids, Minnesota where he teaches writing at Itasca Community College and serves as assistant faculty advisor of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ).
In his spare time he writes, works as a writing coach, and designs customized training. Patrick is married to his best friend Julie and has three adult children--Zach, Rachel and Taylor.
The family likes to spend time hunting, fishing, canoeing and camping.
