About the Book

"Riding Down the Cancer Trail to the Shining Sea" describes a couple's four-year journey from the diagnosis of Stage IV lung cancer with metastasis to the brain to the final 10 weeks on hospice. The book uses real-time journal entries from CaringBridge, an online service that links people with a health crisis with their family and friends, posts on FaceBook, and responses from an extensive support system of tamily and pictures, to tell a story of love and faith that allowed them to live full and meaningful lives while managing the ever changing demands of cancer and finally facing death with grace and dignity.
