The Adventures of Nicholas and Jones, The Letter A, is the first of a 26 set series about the fun adventures of a boy, Nicholas, and his best friend Jones (who happens to be a dog.) Each book in the series focuses on a different letter of the alphabet and a "mystery" word that starts with that letter.
Throughout the book, children are encouraged to look for a hidden letter on the page. The hidden letters can be kept track of and written down on the "Mystery Word" page towards the end of the book. Once all of the hidden letters are found, they will reveal the "mystery" word. The "mystery" word relates to the story.
At the end of the book, there are "Encore" questions. The "Encore" questions are designed for a child and someone else to read and answer together. The "Encore" questions are formulated to stimulate a child's imagination, further their education while making memories.
