About the Book

I never once thought to myself that I would have gotten pregnant but I did. I’m only eighteen, eighteen isn’t that young but I still live with my parents. It happened over summer break at the beach, where I met Zach. Zach was sweet; he got along with my parents. There was only one down factor, he is 21 years old. Now I know what you are thinking, “why did she fall in love with him? He is way older then her.” Well I thought I loved him; we had a connection. I found out the hard way that he had to go back to school in Greenville. He told me before he left, “I won’t forget you, don’t forget me;” those words stuck to me like syrup. Well now you know a little bit on what happened before he left, and you can tell it didn’t end well because now I have a little boy named David. I had him yesterday, unfortunately he was born two months early so he is premature; I am lucky that he is still alive because he has trouble breathing. The doctors say that he will be in an incubator for the remaining time until the due date which is February 24. He was born on December 24; yes he was born on Christmas Eve.
