The vampire(Aren ) and the human(Millie) are mates. They are connected and can feel each other's emotions. They also feel attracted to each other. The vampire was hunting while the human was walking home from their best friends house. The vampire runs into the human and tries to drink the humans blood but the vampire can't bring them self to do it for some reason while the human was scared but not like most humans.
