Amber Renee Granier was born March16, 1994 in Montegue, Louisiana and was adopted by Gale and Harry Granier. At the age of 15, she entered high school where she learned many lessons and in her senior year, she realized she wanted to become a chef because of Pro Start with Ms. Barrios, so she entered her first cooking competition with two other students and came out 5th place over 20 other schools from Louisiana.
