I am the second of three children raised in rural North Dakota. I gained a passion for cooking and of course eating, from my parents. I began cooking around the age of 7 when I made my first scrambled eggs. I loved to help my mom prepare supper by trialling and adapting new as well as tried and true recipes. As an adult, I have become addicted to cooking. I am an avid cookbook reviewer and Food network fan. I do my best cooking "off the cuff" but draw inspiration from cookbooks, magazines, friends and family.
