Janey Mastriano has enjoyed writing and painting her entire life. A Massachusetts native, she developed a love of the seacoast and ocean early in life. As a mother, grandmother, and elementary school teacher, Janey has great respect for children's picture books. Opal's Surprise is her attempt to contribute to that genre. Janey lives in Connecticut with her husband. She is the mother of three, and grandmother of four.
