Mom was born in Tampa, Florida and moved back to Cleveland with her parents when she was about 8 months old. She went to school in the Mayfield School district and college at Bowling Green University.

Dad was born in Willoughby, Ohio and attended Willoughby- Eastlake School district. He went to Lakeland for 2 years of college and then finished at Kent.

In 2004, Mom & Dad met in their first year of teaching in Chagrin Falls. Four years later they were married on July 19, 2008. Two years after that they welcomed the birth of their first daughter, Alyssa Gardner Johnson.
