She has been cared for in a family home care situation from the time she was 10 months old. When Kym was under a year
old, we had to patch her eyes due to crossed eyes and Kathy, the daycare provider, was extremely helpful with the patching.
Kym has always been treated as a “normal” child, with the same responsibilities, same boundries, and same punishments.

Kathy has cared for two other children with physical disabilities; one before Kym, who had cerebral palsy and one while caring
for Kym, who has spina bifida. One of her own daughters has a learning disability. She is one of the most compassionate
people I have dealt with since Kym’s diagnosis.

Kathy still cares for Kym when school is closed and I have to work.
