Ruth Lapp Guengerich has 8 grandchildren, ranging from 1 year to 24 years of age. There are 5 grandsons, 3 granddaughters. Two live in Evanston, IL, and the other 6 live in New Mexico. Ruth misses her grandchildren, and wanted to create a special Christmas gift for them, rather than spending money on things that the grandchildren will soon tire of.
