About Author:
After graduating high school in 1972, the author enlisted into the United States Navy and served a total of 12 years that began in the early seventies and again in the middle to late eighties. In 2002 he relocated from Carpenterville, Illinois to Hayward, California. He loaded up a moving truck with his four cats and hit the road. Four days later he arrived in Hayward, California. In 2004 he quit smoking. In 2006 he returned to school and attended Chabot Community College in Hayward, California and graduated with an AA degree in Liberal Arts in May 2009. In 2007 he quit drinking after many, many years of being an alcoholic. He has severe rheumatoid arthritis, which has limited his movement and has became worse in the last five years. He has dealt with it for the past 25 plus years. His interest in fiction writing came about when he enrolled in a creative writing class at Chabot College and found he had an interest in it and he also enjoyed the satisfaction of writing his own short stories. He has continued with it in his pastime. While attending college he became a tutor in the Computer Applications Classes. He also assisted students both in the classroom and in the online courses the college offered. While volunteering his time in the Computer Applications Systems division of the Business and Applied Technology department at Chabot College, he decided that teaching was what he really wanted to do and to be. He became an in class and an online learning assistant for the same department for several teachers. He would like to continue his education so that he cold become a teacher, teaching at the community college level. A decision he made while attending college and was highly recommended by his teachers. A teacher had told him, as an "older returning student," that he had people skills and that he communicated very well with other students and that his unique ability to relate to other students was an assest many people don't poccess. So that is how his journey of writng began...
