Carol was born to Alvin & Bernice Shemesh in Englewood, New Jersey. She was raised in a Jewish family with small traditional holiday celebrations revolving around the dinnertable and traditional favorite foods.
Her family moved to North Brunswick, New Jersey where
she married her husband Fred Lupo at the age of 20. Fred was born to Anna & Fiore Lupo and raised in a Catholic/Italian family with strong traditional holiday celebrations revolving around
large family gatherings and traditional family recipes for all to enjoy.
Both families blended beautifully creating the perfect marriage of the meatball to the matza ball.
Fred and Carol are happily married and celebrated there 25 year wedding anniversary in November 2008. They have a 21 year old son Justin, and a 16 year old daughter Kimberly.
