I am fascinated by our crazy, mixed up relationship with the natural world. We appear to love it, use it and abuse it to varying degrees. Often there is little appreciation that we are merely part of a much wider living system. As a child I spent most of my time up trees, paddling in local streams and walking in woods finding flowers and fungi. Not only was this great fun, but it gave me a fantastic connection with nature and a huge respect for its innate beauty and complexity. My blog is a series of personal observations, reflections and stories about how we relate to and live alongside nature. I hope it will be enjoyable, informative and thought provoking and will help to restore a better perspective of our place within the natural world.
