Born in 1965, on Long Island, New York, Carla Mariana moved with her family to Florida, where she met Edward, who was to become her husband for 20 years. After becoming a widow, she became a single parent to their son, and only child. Her son is now grown, and a little over a year ago, made her a grandmother.

Carla started photography, after becoming a widow, as a hobby, to take pictures of her son in his sporting activities. She then started taking pictures of nature and scenery, and then for her musician friends that play in local bands.

Carla is now a well known, semi-professional, photographer in Largo, Florida, where she now resides. She is a faithful supporter of Local Live Music and can be found taking pictures for the local bands in her area. Carla also enjoys taking nature and scenery pictures in the local parks, and during her many travels.

Carla's poetic side came as a surprise to her. She never really considered herself a writer, and was content to express herself through her photographs. The passing of her husband, her son and family, her friends, and the life she now lives, inspired her to put her thoughts, and feelings, into words.
