My name is LaKeah Whitaker-Wilkins, I am the author of Mommy, Where is My Daddy? I was inspired to write this book because my husband and I are going through a divorce and my son has asked on several occasions, “Mommy, where is my daddy?” I thought this project could benefit all those children who are dealing with an emotional death of some kind with an emphasis on losing a parent due to divorce, physical death and denial.

I am also the founder of The Women of the 757 book club. This forum is a platform whereas women can come together, fellowship, read and discuss books of ALL genres, while offering varying opinions.

From a job perspective, I’m currently a Senior Advisor with Military One Source, providing career and education counseling to our wonderful Military Spouses. In addition to being a Senior Advisor, I am also an Online Adjunct with the University of Phoenix. Moreover, I’m a self-employed Editor and have edited and re-edited books with Infinity Publications.

From an educational standpoint, I earned a Bachelor’s in English with an emphasis in Literature from Old Dominion University. After graduation, I enrolled at the University of Phoenix where I pursued my Masters in Adult Education and Distance Learning. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction.
