Introduction
Hello. My name is Talise Owens. I am from Chicago, Illinois however, I moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin in 2005. I am married with two children age seven and fifteen. I stumbled across the Early Childhood Education field. I was offered a part-time job at a daycare center which my youngest daughter attended. I accepted and very shortly following, I knew that I had found my calling. I very much look forward to working with you, your children and your family.
Education
I am currently attending MATC where I plan to graduate with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education by December 2012. After obtaining an Associate in ECE, I plan on continuing my education at Cardinal Stritch University where I plan to get a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Child Psychology.
Early Childhood
I have been working with children for over 12 years in various settings such as childcare centers, babysitting and as a nanny. I have also worked with Infants, toddlers, and most recently with School-Age in a summer program. I love building relationships and partnerships that connect me with families to help nurture and educate young minds.
This book was inspired by a instructor of mine and is the first book that I have written. However, I do hope to write many more.
