Karen T. Louis is the daughter of Helena (Brantley) Tate and Douglass Tate. She is the second of four children born to Douglass and Helena Tate and the eldest daughter. She is an attorney living and working in St. Louis. She is married to Charles Andre Louis and together they have five sons, Christopher Allen Tate Umbles, Corey Austin Tate Umbles, Chayne Anthoney Tate Umbles, Charles Andre Louis Jr., and Jordan Alexander Louis. Karen has two grandsons, Chayne Jr. and Corey Jr.
