I am the youngest child of Freda Merrill and Robert Schafer. At the age of 12 my parents devorced. My mother and I moved to Lorain, Ohio.



After graduating from Lorain High School in 1966, I attended a trade school in Kansas City, Mo. Upon completion I obtained a position with United Air Lines in Cleveland, Oh.



I retired from United after 35 years of service and have since devoted my spare time to genealogy research.
