Psychiatric hospitals are the norm. Rapid emotions at extreme ends of the spectrum are a daily occurence. Thoughts of self-harm, suicide and other destructive behaviours rule my life, yet i'm still here. Twenty-one years old, recently diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and with nine years of mental health issues varying at different degrees but i'm surviving.
This is a book all about my life. It hasn't got details about every insignificant event that has occurred, however due to the fact that a majority of my life has been clouded with mental illness, this book is about the majority of my life. It offers hope to those who believe that they have none left but still hang on and are reading this book hoping to take something from it. It is for those who have family members or close friends who are struggling with a disease and do not know how to deal with it. It is for everyone who wants to open their eyes to mental health in raw detail.

I have grown up in South Woodham Ferrers in Essex, England till the age of 12. At the age of 12 my family and i emigrated to Canada where i lived for 3 years. At the age of 15 i returned to my home town and have continued my education in 6th form and working part time at a coffee shop.
I am now 21 and have moved back to Canada where i work in a hospital on a surgical/ medical unit.
I have been in a few psychiatric hospitals and have recently been diagnosed with a new diagnosis; borderline personality disorder. This is on top of my previous diagnosis'; Major Depressive disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Columpsive Disorder, PTSD, Body Image Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa.
