The Kings Park kids live in a magical neighborhood right on the Zumbro River. In the summer, you can find them swimming, canoeing up to the springs, or playing ghost in the graveyard. In the winter they spend their time sledding, ice skating, and building snow forts. Sometimes the kids run into trouble. What will happen when a baseball shatters Mrs. Peterson's kitchen window?

Bonnie Schreader has lived in Kings Park for over 35 years. She came up with the start of this story from reading The Boxcar Children books as a child. Nikki Schreader, Bonnie's eldest daughter, expanded on her mother's idea.
