About the Book

Our group definition of indigenous is the first people to inhabit a land. In this indigenous dictionary our aim is to make aboriginal communities known and inform people about lesser known native groups. We partnered with the United Nations (UN) through the New York City Junior Ambassador program to receive this knowledge and share it with you. These people deserve to have their stories told after centuries of discrimination, dehumanization, and racism. We need you to help raise awareness about the value of indigenous people and their cultures because after years of ignorance these cultures have finally come into the light, and we don’t want them to fade away.
