I'm American and my country is known as the great melting pot and consists of many subcultures which influence all those that live here. A common example is how Mexican food is very popular and has evolved to include Mexicali and Tex-Mex recipes that have their own unique flavors. Music is another area with diverse cultural influences like hip hop and rap, which originated in the 70s in the streets of New York. We have a strong tradition of celebrating holidays and of course have our own special ones like the 4th of July, which is a big day for most Americans. The day of our independence is honored with parades, cook-outs and fireworks. There is so much more.
