Founded in 1990, the Institute for Global Ethics (IGE) is an independent, nonsectarian, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting ethical behavior in individuals, and cultures of integrity in institutions and nations through research, public discourse, and practical action.

The Ethical Literacy® Learning Community is our “practical action” front for the Institute’s work in schools. We encourage students to become more ethical while creating environments that deliberately supports both their academic and ethical development.
