My first poem involved rhyming and animals. I wrote it in the second grade as a class assignment. That's when I knew writing was fun. As I grew older and developed more connection to selve exploration and creativity, I realized that the pen and paper were a powerful source. They were an inspiration to express emotions and feelings that could in no other way properly be released. I use writing as an escape, journey, process of healing, and as a chance to look inward and grow. I've been wanting to write a book filled with my poetry for so long. Now is the time that I have done it.
