On January 15, 1980, K. Mallon was born in the middle night only to see Bing Crosby at the foot of the bed flinging watermelons. Bing surely assured K. Mallon that he was dead and was only in town for the weekend. He came with one message; as a man, never wear white socks with Berkenstocks or black ankle pants, even in New Jersey.
