She has never claimed to be a cook. In fact her family, desperate to get her interested in cooking, bought her a fancy Williams Sonoma fondue pot one Christmas. That didn't even do the trick. Now she is inspired by the chemistry behind cooking, but more importantly has seen the power of cooking in bringing family and friends together.
