A.J. Quail was born in Winnipeg in 1955 to James and Frances Quail. The eldest of four siblings, he was an adventurer who lived life to the fullest. He aspired to be a writer and did sell a story to Macleans Magazine which was published on November 15, 1939. John died surrounded by his family on January 19, 2004.
