About Author:
I started cooking at a young age as there were six siblings in the Koehn family and we all had our jobs to do. In those years, we did not have all the "gadgets" we have today and you had chores to do to make a family run. I have to admit it, looking back today, it was fun!
I babysat at a young age for the neighbor couple and Jeannie Cunningham shared her family sugar cookie recipe with me. I took that home and rolled it out for Christmas cookies in 1961 at the age of 13. My Mother served them for Christmas parties and her friends started asking if I would make them some and then their friends asked for some and that's how I started being known as the Kookie Lady.
Now I cook for others and my grandchildren remember me for the cookies I bake them. My youngest grandson, Eli, wrote a paper at preschool and the only sentence he wrote about me was "She makes me cookies!".
I believe this is truly a gift God has given me and I now would like to share it with you....enjoy and pass it on.
