Piccotese Publishing is a combination of Piccolina (Erica) Tese (from Maltese). Erica Cerami and Chris Maltese wrote thousands of witty sarcastic e-mails back and forth and joked about how long their e-mails were and joked about how they should start a publishing company and that they would call it "Piccotese Publishing".
