Olie was born and raised in South Carolina, and was one of thirteen children. He was a well known song writer and wrote the story, based on the story of President Gordon B. Hinckley, telling about how the podium of the newly built conference center came to pass. This podium was built from a walnut tree that was planted in the back yard of Gordon B. Hinkcley when he was a boy. After many years, the tree died and President Hinkcley had special carpenters make it into the most beautiful master piece.
