The author was born in New York City on Sept. 2, 1974. As a young child she always had a passion for writing. At the age of 12 she wrote her first fiction short story called "Naughty Santa". Then a year later she went on and wrote another short story for her 7th grade teacher. The story was called: " A Bird, Squirrel & Chipmunk. Later in her teen years, she then began writng poems. Desiree Charleman is a passionate writer. She is inspired and motivated by her personal expereinces, relationships, friendships and other poets and authors as well.
