Coming from a jamaican/ African american back ground, cooking for my family means a lot to me. In both cultures everthing is centered around "the table".
I started cooking relatively late in my life at age 17 when I moved to florida to live with my Jamaican mother. Before then , it was all about eating ( not cooking ) Soul & italian food while living with my father. Although I never picked up on Soul food making , I can finesse a pasta dish as if I was born in Italy!

I enjoy trying new things, so naturally I enjoy cooking food from all over. My favorites would be Spanish, Jamaican, Moroccan, Greek, and some Indian dishes.
