Ann is the cutter and tailor for the University of Alberta Drama Department. She has been a professional cutter for several years and has extensive experience working with a wide variety of textiles and costumes in a wide range of settings. Ann has taught costume design, costume construction and pattern drafting. Ann has a particular love of classical tailoring and English men’s drafts from the 1800s and early 1900’s. She is currently exploring zero waste cutting and the integration of technology in enhancing the sustainability of cutting and garment production as an art.
