Hello. I'm a little lady from Kentucky who became interested in writing because I had problems. Writing was a way for me to make sense of them and release them and turn them into something that was instead beautiful to me. Reading was one of the first things that I remember enjoying as a kid along with music and nature. I grew up with several siblings and parents who were not around and I found solace, escape, and structure in those places. I started writing poetry because I did not know how to express myself in any other way that felt so compelling and so true to who I thought I was. Poetry was the perfect form of expression for me because of it’s lack of rules and its pure artistic current. I could say what I wanted without even knowing exactly what it was that I was trying to say. I could feel it. Of course I know now that there are a lot of rules in poetry and also that there are none. I’d like to hone in on my audience now and use this skill to my advantage. I have no idea..
