The Family: A Proclamation to the World is a declaration given by the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It declares the importance of the family in God's plan for His children and calls on citizens and national leaders to defend the traditional family. Accompanying her pomes are references to "Successful Marriages and Families: Proclamation Principles and Research Perspectives" (Hawkins, Dollahite, Draper, 2012)
