"As he was walking back, he heard a grasping sound. One that sounded like nails scratching a chalkboard. A sound that sounded helpless, but the creature on Floor 9 was not helpless at all. The security guard stood there. Then there was silence. Nothing made a sound in the building, nothing that he could hear."
