This is a story of Juno Lee, also known as Andrei Petrov, in his formative Harbin days from 1932 to 1945. He was raised and educated by American missionary Bruce F Hunt and Russian baptist pastor Aleksey Petrov.

The author Sang M Lee was born in Korea two years before the Korean war breakout in 1950. He moved to America in 1976 and worked as an electrical engineer and professor. He retired to Rio Rancho, New Mexico with his wife Lenore. He is a casual ham radio operator and shares his time on writing ham radio-related articles for KARL magazine. He got his nickname Sangobango from his former students in Chicago.
