A Glimpse Into My Mind is a poetry book with a great variety in poems. It ranges from Free Verse to Lyric Poems. The topic of the poems also have a great variety with no two being alike.

Laureen Gbordzoe is a ninth grader who attends Cinco Ranch High School. She was born in Philadelphia and lived there until she was 10 years old and at that time moved to Katy, Texas where she is currently living. She has one 10 year old brother whom she loves, but does not get to spend much time with due to all of her activities. Laureen enjoys reading in her spare time and playing her favorite sport, tennis. Her poems often reflect things and moments in her life that had a great emotional impact on her. Laureen also often notices small details about the simple things in life, which is also shown in her poems.
