Virginia Jenkins, born October 1926, grew up in Germantown, Ohio during the Great Depression and World War II. Despite austerity imposed by these historical events, she enjoyed her early family life which included many "normal" playful activities. Her curiosity for life took her to many locations which she documented through photography and essays. While widowed at the age of 41, she raised four children and remained employed until retiring at the age of 82. Virginia currently lives in New Carlisle, Ohio.
