Hello dear readers, well this is my first collection of poetry although it is just a small percentage of the poetry I have written so far in life.
I have been published in many anthologies by Anchor press and poetry now, but wanted to try a small collection of poetry for my first collection.
I am also a Artist, some of which graces the front cover and introduction page of this book. My poetry touches upon the spiritual and philosophical aspects of life, drawn from my own experiences and intuition as a introverted existentialist poet. I have practised meditation for nearly 12 years and in that time I worked as a community mental health recovery worker, where I learnt much about our human condition. As you might have guessed, I am a lay Buddhist, although I tend to follow the more Taoist form of eastern philosophy.
I grew up in a very working class industrial town in England, where I still live with my faithful Partner to this day.
I therefore hope you enjoy reading my poetry.

Messages from the author:

"Night waves" is a collection of poems written over the last decade. Certainly not in the style of slam poetry, it is perhaps a look into the more traditional form of poetry that interests and suits my writing style best. Many of the poems were taken directly from my own experiences in life, with the view of promoting my own style of philosophy on life. Having noticed that we live in an age where philosophy and spirituality has ceased to be a factor in most peoples lives, I wanted to try to create a book that provides some kind of insight into the alternative way of thinking that my generation was once known for.
Many years have passed since I travelled the length and breast of my home country, on my old motorcycles, travelling and meeting many new age travellers. Most of these places and faces that I once knew, no longer bare the familiarity that was once so dear to me; how times very much change, yet I wanted to record my thoughts on life to perhaps share with another generation.
